Based in Bloemfontein and Mandela View: IICottage - Innovative Instruction offers affordable international education in a safe, supported and learner-oriented zone.
The program applied at Innovative Instruction works with a database that records and archives student’s scores, reaction times and extrapolates a more manageable curriculum time. Some students might excel in certain subject fields, and need more contact time in others. The program, along with us, make a best estimation on future-dated tasks and work output. Each student, thus, will work on a different time-table according to the database.
Although the program is great, and works wonders, we also admit that there is no substitute for human deviation. All students are different, need different levels of support. For this reason, we will be monitoring students’ progress, not only in class, but through continued support and updates to parents and students as they progress through their different levels of education.
IICottage work according to a normal school-year time table, normal school times from 07:50 – 13:30 with breaks given. No homework, unless a flagged is raised, and then we might suggest that the student do some extra reading or participate in Friday morning exploration sessions, community engagement or shadowing for a certain type of profession.
As to our aim, it is clear, reach students, re-enforce strengths and work on those subjects, or content, that need supportive enforcement. We aim to create young professionals with sociable skills and core values that would translate into higher education or any kind of workplace they wish to enter.
